This program is very useful addition to program selecting passwords, because use of minimal available information about forgotten password allows multiple reduction of possible passwords for selecting, also reduce selecting time, often making concrete selecting.
Reducing quantity of password possible variants is especially important for objects with low selecting speed (RAR, etc.).
Arusoft Password Recovery Plus allows visually assigning common structure of password on basis of discrete blocks (composed from groups of symbols or words) and their combination. File, generated on the basis of this structure, with list of passwords can be used as dictionary for other programs selecting passwords directly to your object, protected by password.
Each discrete block has following features:
? minimal and maximal length of the block of symbols (it is possible for the block of words to excluding of dictionary words with not approaching length);
? own set of symbols, list of words, dictionary;
? for group of symbols it is possible excluding repetition of the same symbol within one block excluding of such variants as AAA, ABA, CAA, etc.);
? various transformations of letters register are possible for words (for example, you know that there is word LOST in your password, but you don"t remember exactly letters register. In this case program can generate automatically such variants as: LoSt, LOSt, lost, losT, etc.). Also following transformations are possible: the first letter is capital, the rest are lower-case letters, or all letters are capital/lower-case.
Additional reduction of passwords amount for selecting is possible by determination of relation between blocks. For example, you know that password composed from three words , word is on the second position, register of its letters is unknown (OR, or, Or, oR), and what word is the first or last. Program allows to exclude such variants as: LiveORLive, DieOrDie, DieoRDie, etc. For this example Arusoft Password Recovery Plus will generate only 8 possible passwords! But how many passwords you program would check and how much time it would spend for sequential selecting of all variants of 9 letter password?! But if we take more complicated example?!...
